CBG (cannabigerol)

CBG (cannabigerol) is a phytocannabinoid derived from the Cannabis Sativa Plant. It is commonly known as the “Mother Cannabinoid”. CBG binds to both CB1 and CB2 receptors. The interaction with the CB1 receptor amplifies the release of anandamide (the bliss molecule) which is responsible for affecting motivation, appetite, sleep, pleasure and pain. The CB2 receptor interacts with the gastrointestinal and immune system. Research also shows the following therapeutic benefits of antimicrobial, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer. CBG products contain little to no THC- the psychoactive chemical that creates the intoxicating affect.
